"The large and thin curved screen rests upon its cube, like it’s sculpture on a pedestal."
designed by Yves Behar, fuseproject and Samsung.
We have admired paintings displayed on walls for centuries, but an image on a curve takes on a new form. It becomes a sculpture. The stand on which you display a sculpture is as important as the piece itself. Those sketches show the cube exploration, reminding us of a classical sculpture on a plinth.
The cube’s chrome material reflects the surface around it, with black gradient at the top to make the frame look as though it floats over and fades into the plinth.
